How Window King Replaces Doors In Staten Island, NY
Our Richmond County, NY door installation runs on a set method we repeat on every home, so each step gets the same care.

Measuring Your Opening By Hand
A Project Manager comes to your home and measures the door opening himself before we order anything. Machine specs and guesswork leave gaps, and a door that's off by a fraction binds or lets air through.
Hand measurement catches an out-of-square frame or a settled sill early. That's how the new door lands flush and swings true the day it goes in.
Pulling The Old Door And Prepping The Frame
The crew removes your worn door, the frame, and the old trim, then clears the opening down to solid framing. We check the sill and studs before the new unit goes anywhere. Skipping this prep is how a fresh door ends up sitting on rot. Clearing to sound wood gives your replacement door a flat, stable base and a clean weather seal.
Setting The Door Plumb And Level
A certified, factory-trained crew shims and sets the new door so it's plumb, level, and square in the opening. A door that's out of true drags on the jamb and won't latch right. We adjust the fit until the gap around the slab is even top to bottom. Then the lockset engages smoothly, and the door stays shut against the weather.
Sealing And A Final Walkthrough
Once the door is set, we seal it inside and out, install the trim, and test the swing and lock before we pack up. We walk the finished work with you so you see the seal and the operation yourself. A skipped seal is where drafts and leaks start. The walkthrough confirms your exterior door replacement is done right before we leave.
Choosing The Right Replacement Doors For Your Staten Island, NY Home
A few clear choices shape your new entry. Here's how to think through each one.

Picking Your Door Brand
We work with only three door manufacturers, including ProVia, out of thousands in the country. That short list is a quality filter, not a limit. Your Project Manager lays out the options that fit your opening and your home's look, then explains the tradeoffs plainly. You pick the line that suits your entry and budget.
Steel Or Fiberglass Slab
Steel doors are strong and hold up well at a friendly price, which suits many entries. Fiberglass resists dents and can carry a wood-grain look without the upkeep of real wood. Your Project Manager walks you through how each wears over time. The right pick depends on your exposure, your style, and how the door faces the street.
Glass, Sidelights, And Style
Adding glass, a decorative panel, or sidelights changes how much daylight reaches your entryway. A clear-view panel brightens a dark foyer, while a solid slab reads more private. These choices also shape the door's price and its energy performance. We show you real configurations so you can see the look before you commit.

Very neat, organized, & got it done in a timely…
Would highly recommend this company! We ordered 10 windows including a large picture window. Mike’s presentation was great! Not pushy like some other companies. Lisa in the office is so personable! & the installer Ralphael & Chico were awesome! Very neat, organized, & got it done in a timely & professional manner!!
You found them right here….
Let me start this review by saying you're probably reading these reviews to see if you can find a reputable window installer that knows how to install Windows properly at a fair price. I'm sure you've read all the negative reviews about window installers, how they're all overpriced, unscrupulous, and how it's very difficult to find the right window installer that won't fleece your wallet or do a poor install job. I always do a lot of research not just on price but on quality of materials. After some initially ridiculously high quotes on Anderson windows where the install price per window opening was almost as much as the expensive window itself, I looked at all my options. There certainly were cheaper vinyl options like crystal windows and tristate window factory but these windows seemed "cheap looking" to me. I somehow came across windowking website and saw they use OKNA windows. I researched the Okna windows and was very pleased with the selections they offered and specs available. Okna seemed well built with very positive reviews. Of course that wasn't good enough. I had to see what it looked like so I drove over one day to the WindowKing Bronx store where I met Lisa. She seemed a bit surprised at first that somebody would come just to look at the windows on display but I told her that's how I operate and if I like something I'll be back. She was super pleasant, not pushy at all. After about a week, I came back again this time with my wife to show her the window I was looking at. It seemed sturdy but not cheap looking like the others I had seen. After some discussion at home, I called back for an estimate and had Mike come over to the house for an estimate. I had read that everybody hated the big home estimate sales pitch that seems to drag on for a while based on reviews I had read from other places, Mike gave no such sales pitch or pressure to sign that day, nor did he drag it out. I was quite pleased with the way he handled his business. Okay, now to the good part. Customer service is nice but money talks, I think I received a fair price and didn't come away feeling like I had been fleeced. We had 13 windows and a bay window installed. The two installers, Wilson the crew chief and José worked in symmetry and did a great job installing the windows. Lisa made sure I was completely satisfied with the job at the end and left me wanting to write this review to let them know how pleased I was with the whole job. If you're looking for a competent window installer at a fair price then look no further. You found them right here.

Door Replacement FAQ For Staten Island, NY
Straight answers to what homeowners ask us most before a door project.
How long does a door replacement take?
A: Most single entry door replacements finish in a day. The crew pulls the old door, preps the opening, sets the new unit, seals it, and walks the work with you before leaving. Jobs with more than one door or unexpected framing repairs run a little longer, and your Project Manager tells you the timeline up front.
How much does door replacement cost in Staten Island, NY?
A: The cost depends on the door line you choose, the material like steel or fiberglass, and any glass or sidelights you add. A solid steel entry sits at a different price than a fiberglass door with decorative glass.
Your Project Manager measures the opening, lays out your real options, and writes the number down. That price holds unless you change the scope.
What areas near Staten Island, NY do you provide door replacement?
We serve the wider NY Metro and Tri-State Area. That includes door replacement in Brooklyn, NY, the Bronx, and door replacement up in Yonkers, NY. You can also see the full list of communities we cover.
What does the lifetime workmanship warranty cover?
A: The labor on your door install carries a lifetime workmanship warranty from Window King, stacked on the manufacturer’s coverage on the door itself. So the door product and the install are both protected. We’ve backed our work across three generations of the family.
What door brands do you install?
A: We work with only three door manufacturers, chosen out of thousands in the country, and ProVia is one of them. That short list is a deliberate quality filter. If a line didn’t make the cut, it’s not on our list, so every door we set has already earned its spot.
What happens if you find rot in the opening?
A: Your Project Manager tells you before any extra work starts. Once the crew pulls the old door and clears the frame, we inspect the sill and studs. If we find rotted wood, we stop and explain what we found and what it takes to fix it. We don’t add anything extra to your bill without your say-so.
What kinds of doors does Window King replace?
A: Window King replaces entry doors, front doors, patio doors, storm doors, and security doors. We fit door lines from three vetted manufacturers, including ProVia. We focus on residential door replacement and don’t do repairs or auto glass.
