After some initially ridiculously high quotes on Anderson windows where the install price per window opening was almost as much as the expensive window itself, I looked at all my options. There certainly were cheaper vinyl options like crystal windows and tristate window factory but these windows seemed "cheap looking" to me. I somehow came across windowking website and saw they use OKNA windows. I researched the Okna windows and was very pleased with the selections they offered and specs available. Okna seemed well built with very positive reviews. Of course that wasn't good enough. I had to see what it looked like so I drove over one day to the WindowKing Bronx store where I met Lisa. She seemed a bit surprised at first that somebody would come just to look at the windows on display but I told her that's how I operate and if I like something I'll be back. She was super pleasant, not pushy at all. After about a week, I came back again this time with my wife to show her the window I was looking at. It seemed sturdy but not cheap looking like the others I had seen. After some discussion at home, I called back for an estimate and had Mike come over to the house for an estimate. I had read that everybody hated the big home estimate sales pitch that seems to drag on for a while based on reviews I had read from other places, Mike gave no such sales pitch or pressure to sign that day, nor did he drag it out. I was quite pleased with the way he handled his business. Okay, now to the good part. Customer service is nice but money talks, I think I received a fair price and didn't come away feeling like I had been fleeced. We had 13 windows and a bay window installed. The two installers, Wilson the crew chief and José worked in symmetry and did a great job installing the windows. Lisa made sure I was completely satisfied with the job at the end and left me wanting to write this review to let them know how pleased I was with the whole job.
